New Repeat Prescription Line
From Monday 22nd October, repeat prescriptions can be ordered via our new Repeat Prescription Request Line on 01563 599300.
We will no longer be taking repeat prescription requests on our main line.
The Repeat Prescription Request Line allows you to leave a message day 24 hours a day.
Please ensure you leave the following information on our answering machine:
Your Name, Address, Date of Birth, Contact Telephone Number, Full description of the items you require.
If you telephone our main line, you will be asked to redial the above number.
This allows the practice to free up the lines for those requiring more urgent assistance.

We offer several methods to order your prescription:
By using the Prescription Request Box situated to the left of the reception desk
Online via the London Road Medical Practice website
By calling our new Prescription Request Line on 01563 599300. 01563 599300
By post using the request slip attached to your prescription (please enclose a Stamped Addressed Envelope for the return of your new prescription if you are not collecting it).
Please do not block the telephone lines by phoning to check if your prescription is ready. Prescriptions will be ready TWO working days from the time of ordering, this does not include pharmacy collections which can take up to 72 hours.
If you prefer your prescription can be given to a chemist of your choice who will prepare it for collection or delivery.
Please note that repeat prescriptions should not be ordered more than 7 days in advance.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed, three working days if you collect from a Pharmacy and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
